Dear CAPA Members,

The Holiday Season is upon us; with great pleasure I invite all of you, your spouse and CAPA friends, to join me at the CAPA 2012 Annual Meeting on Saturday, January 14, 5:00 – 8:45 PM, to be held at the Ocean Palace Restaurant.  Registration is now open online.  Onsite registration will be available at an additional $5, and therefore please register now.

We will report CAPA 2011 achievements at the meeting, and will hold the election for CAPA 2012 Executive Committee and Board of Director members.  Additionally, we are pleased to have distinguished guests from CNPC’s Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development (RIPED) in Beijing, present a special information session from 3:00 – 5:00 PM.

CNPC Recruitment Program for Overseas Technical Experts

A 7-member CNPC delegation, headed by Mr. Chen Jian (HR Director RIPED, CNPC, Beijing), will visit CAPA to present CNPC’s overseas petroleum talents recruitment program. 

To help CAPA members better understand the CNPC recruitment efforts, a special information session will be held at Ocean Palace, 3:00 – 5:00 PM on January 14, 2012, before the CAPA Annual Meeting.  The CNPC delegation will explain the recruitment program’s policy, plans, operational details, and fields of recruitment interest.  For those interested in additional details of the program, a one-on-one Q&A session will be held from 9:00 to 11:30 AM the following day (location will be announced at the January-14 session).

CAPA is pleased to offer support to this information session, where Chinese-American talents interested in career advancement can learn and explore senior-level technical employment opportunities at CNPC in China.
