Theme: CAPA will be hosting a special conference on the state of the energy industry in which we will bring together industry experts to share views and insights into our sector's most important issues. What are the current implications of the financial crisis on the energy industry? How will the new administration's energy policies affect the industry? How will the current industry react to new challenges? How should we prepare for the future of the energy industry? How will the recession affect the Houston area? Do current depressed commodity prices offer investment opportunities for oil/gas companies? All these topics are of interest to us. But none of them can be easily addressed by any one individual. That is why James Wang (jwang@firstreserve.com), a CAPA Executive Committee member, and his team will bring several industry experts to the forum to shed some light on these subjects. These experts are from top consulting firms, universities, oil/gas and service companies, including Wood Mackenzie, Deloitte, UH, Anadarko, Transocean and Shell. Please come and get your thoughts provoked or opinions voiced. The forum will start with short presentations, followed by a panel discussion in which the audience will have the opportunity to have their questions answered by these top industry professionals. Food, cookies, fruits, drinks will be served at break and 5:30 pm social hours.
